Rights
On January 10, 2004, Xingu gave permission for shows to be hosted at the Archive:
Hey Diana!
This is Tony G., keyboardist from XINGU...
Yes, it will be great if fans sent their XINGU recordings to be exchanged.
Anything, at this moment, to help get the music out more is welcomed by
me. We also appreciate your interest in our project! I look forward to
further correspondance with you.
Best wishes!
Tony G.
Policy
(notes added anonymously during creation of this section)
We allow and encourage all forms of audio and video taping, trading, and the electronic free distribution of our material via the web provided that no profit is obtained by third parties in exchange for our recordings. Soundboard access will be made available at certain venues, however tapers are encouraged
to bring their own microphones, cables, and rechargeable batteries in case AC power is not available. In some small venues, the soundboard feed would be almost all drums and vocals and in those circumstances soundboard patches will not be given out for the obvious reason that it would render such a recording
unlistenable and would be a poor representation of the band's performance. Soundboard feeds will not be given out in the rare case that the band is multi-track recording the show for future release. See one of the band members if you have any questions or need assistance.
(notes from the main page of their website as of 1/2004)
XINGU Taping Policy
XINGU allows and encourages audio and video recordings and free electronic distribution of their shows, unless specified otherwise by the band, and provided that tapers bring their own equipment, no profit is obtained through third parties in exchange for said recordings.
